J. R. Kegan is an artist living in Chicago. He is the one writing this and finds it weird that people feel like it’s more professional sounding to describe themselves in the third person.

In all seriousness, he hates describing himself and would much rather people make up their own minds, as these things are mostly subjective. If he had to say he would probably launch into some long story about how he used to pretend to be Link from Legend of Zelda.

Then you’d listen politely until he forgot what he was talking about, at which point you'd kindly get him back on track by saying something like ‘you were describing your work’ which would initiate a profuse profanity laden apology and an incoherent string of adjectives including but not limited to; Illustrator, percussionist, singer, sculptor, clown, ninja, and generally alright dude.




Not all my work is super weird. My partner and I have started a collaboration to present products and gifts made for the home. We’re called Character Study. We take designs made especially for those close to us and invite our customers to share the one of a kind handmade goods with us.
